What is a BDR?

A BDR, also known as a Backup and Disaster Recovery appliance, protects your servers and key workstations by making an image of them. This image can be "spun up" in the event of an outage on your server or key workstation.  You can operate on this until repairs can be made.

The cool part is that this image is replicated to an off-site datacenter. This satisfies a requirement to have a backup at a location separate from your main location.

If your data is important to your business, then getting a modern backup solution in place makes a whole lot of sense for your business.
