Ransomware is a business for bad guys.
These bad guys prey on us good guys (and gals) when we let our guard down or don't take the right steps to prepare to protect our business information.
Disasters, outages, failures can come from all manner of sources. Weather, fire, or man-made disasters such as vandalism, theft or just plain human error, you name it.
According to this article from ZDNET.com, a loud noise caused a 10 hour outage for a Romanian bank, and also caused "...serious and irrevocable damage" to some hard drives.

This is part 2 of a 5 part series where we reveal what we think are essential computer support services for your small business.
Part 2 - Data Backup
One of the very first things you MUST put in place in your computer network is a reliable, automatic, and TESTED backup system. A computer support services provider will be very aware of current network technologies and will make recommendations to protect your server and your data so that you suffer no data loss or lost time for your business.
You can protect your data from ransomware by having a good cloud backup and disaster recovery solution in place. Do NOT be a victim to this crime.
Hmmm...How can I convince the boss that in order to check up on all our clients and their cloud backups that I need one of these?
Does your small business have a Backup and Disaster Recovery solution in place?
